Which Sector 556 suppressor is right for me?

The Sector 556 lineup was purpose-built around specific barrel lengths and performance priorities.

The Sector 556 Full Size was engineered with short-barreled rifles in mind, particularly in the 10.3 to 12.5-inch range. It maximizes sound suppression, flash reduction, and gas control where those factors are most critical.

The Sector 556 Compact is optimized for 14.5 to 16-inch barrels and longer. It offers a shorter overall footprint with excellent performance, making it ideal for users prioritizing maneuverability while still maintaining strong suppression characteristics.

While both models are versatile, selecting the correct variant for your barrel length will yield the best overall performance.

What are blast baffle depths, and why do they matter?

Blast baffle depth is measured from the start of the HUB interface threads to the beginning of the first helicoidal baffle. This dimension reflects how much expansion space exists before gas enters the primary suppression system.

It is important to note that blast baffle depth is not a direct indicator of muzzle device compatibility. EchoCore suppressors utilize the industry-standard 1.375x24 HUB interface, which is designed to work with a wide range of mounting systems and muzzle devices.

All EchoCore suppressors are engineered to be fully compatible with modern HUB-based mounting solutions, ensuring maximum flexibility and future-proof adaptability.

Sector Full Size and Compact: 2.3 inches
Latitude, Traverse, and Radius: 2.55 inches

How do I clean my Sector, LaTitude, Traverse, or Radius 360 suppressor?

If you treat your suppressor like a lawn mower, an EchoCore Suppressor is for you. They require virtually no maintenance to maintain their performance. In fact, you may even notice it getting quieter over time. The internal geometry was designed without hard 90-degree corners where carbon or copper material tends to accumulate and degrade performance. Our recommendation is simply to shoot it and enjoy it.

That said, if you feel the need to clean it, every couple thousand rounds you can soak the suppressor in a plastic Tupperware-type container using a 2:1 mixture of Simple Green and water. There is also a chemical cleaner called Schletek that I’ve had good experiences with that is imported by B&T USA, that works very well for suppressor cleaning.

How do I clean my Topo 22 Suppressor?

While the Topo 22 cannot be taken apart, the beauty of this model is that you can shoot centerfire .223 Rem / 5.56 NATO through it on a limited basis, which will help clean out carbon and lead buildup. That’s a unique advantage compared to most rimfire-only suppressors.

Alternatively, you can soak the suppressor in a plastic container using a 2:1 mixture of Simple Green and water. There is also a chemical solution called Schletek, imported by B&T USA, that works very well for suppressor cleaning. Here is the link for reference:

What are the recommended torque values?

For optimal performance and reliability, we recommend the following torque specifications:

• HUB to suppressor body: 20 ft-lbs
• Muzzle device to barrel: 30 ft-lbs

When installing the included low-profile direct mount HUB, apply a small amount of Rocksett to the threads.

Always verify alignment using an alignment rod before firing. This ensures proper concentricity between the barrel, muzzle device, HUB, and suppressor.

Do I need specialized tools to mount my suppressor to my rifle?

Your EchoCore Suppressor was designed to be mounted to your platform using common household tools found in your junk drawer or range bag. The suppressor body features  wrench flats, while the low profile direct mount HUB features different flats. An adjustable wrench, water pumps, a pair of pliers or even your Leatherman multitool will get the job done. No one likes going to the range and realizing they don’t have the right specialized manufacturer-specific wrench.

What is XCR (Cross Chamber Regulation)?

XCR, or Cross Chamber Regulation, is EchoCore’s proprietary gas management system built into the core of every suppressor. Instead of allowing gas to move linearly through traditional baffle stacks, XCR uses a helicoidal flow path to regulate pressure across multiple chambers.

This results in reduced back pressure, smoother gas flow, improved sound suppression, and more consistent performance across a wide range of platforms. The end result is a cleaner-running firearm with a more refined recoil impulse and reduced gas blowback to the shooter.

What is back pressure and how do EchoCore Suppressros reduce it?

Back pressure refers to the gas that is forced back into the firearm’s action when a suppressor is used. Excessive back pressure can increase recoil impulse, accelerate wear, and cause gas blowback toward the shooter.

EchoCore’s XCR technology is specifically designed to regulate and balance internal gas flow. By controlling how pressure moves through the suppressor, XCR reduces back pressure while maintaining strong suppression performance. The result is a smoother shooting experience with improved reliability and reduced gas to the face.

What calibers are EchoCore suppressors rated for?

EchoCore suppressors are designed with versatility in mind, but caliber ratings vary by model.

The Sector 556 series is optimized for .223Rem/5.56 NATO & 6ARC
The LaTitude 30 and Traverse 30 are built for .30 caliber applications, including .308 Winchester, 6.5 Creedmoor, and .300 Blackout. Both models are magnum rated, i.e. .300WinMag.
The Radius 360 is designed as a multi-caliber solution, offering flexibility across a broad range of platforms from .22 caliber to 9mm.
The Topo 22 is designed for .22 LR, with the added capability of limited use with .223 Remington and 5.56 NATO.

What materials are used in EchoCore suppressors?

EchoCore Suppressors are manufactured using advanced additive manufacturing processes, primarily Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS).

Depending on the model, suppressors are constructed from either 100% titanium or high-temperature alloys such as inconel. Titanium models prioritize weight savings and corrosion resistance, making them ideal for hunting and precision applications. Inconel models are designed for extreme durability and high-heat environments, making them well-suited for hard-use and defensive platforms.

What mounting systems are compatible with EchoCore suppressors?

All EchoCore Suppressors (except Topo 22) utilize the industry-standard 1.375x24 HUB interface.

This allows compatibility with a wide range of mounting systems currently on the market, including direct thread, taper mounts, and quick-detach systems. The HUB design ensures users are not locked into a single mounting solution and provides long-term flexibility as new systems are introduced.

What is the expected lifespan of an EchoCore suppressor?

EchoCore Suppressors are designed to last for tens of thousands of rounds under normal use conditions.

Thanks to advanced materials and additive manufacturing, there are no traditional weak points such as welded joints or stacked baffle interfaces. When used within recommended parameters, an EchoCore Suppressor should provide a service life comparable to or exceeding the barrel life of the host firearm.

Do suppressors affect accuracy?

In most cases, a properly mounted suppressor will maintain or even improve accuracy.

Suppressors can enhance consistency by reducing recoil and stabilizing barrel harmonics. While a slight shift in point of impact is normal when adding a suppressor, this shift is typically repeatable and easy to account for once zeroed.

Will a suppressor make my firearm hearing safe?

Suppressors significantly reduce sound levels, but most centerfire firearms will still produce noise above the threshold considered hearing safe.

While shooting suppressed is far more comfortable and less damaging than unsuppressed fire, we still recommend the use of hearing protection—especially during extended shooting sessions or when using shorter barrel lengths.

What is the ATF process for purchasing a suppressor?

Suppressors are regulated under the National Firearms Act (NFA) and require ATF approval prior to transfer.

Through Silencer Shop, this process is streamlined and user-friendly. Customers can complete their paperwork digitally, submit fingerprints, and track their application status through Silencer Shop’s system.

Once approved, the suppressor is transferred to your selected local dealer for pickup.
